This Privacy Policy explains how Livio ("Livio", "we", "us" or "our"), a product of Passion For Sports BV, collects, uses and protects your personal data when you use the Livio live tracking application, our website and related services (together, the "Service"). We process your personal data in accordance with the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and applicable Belgian law.

2. What personal data we collect

Depending on how you use the Service, we may collect:

  • Account data: name, email address, password, and optionally a phone number or profile photo.
  • Location data: real-time GPS location while live tracking is active, used to display your position and route during an event.
  • Event and results data: events you register for or follow, start/finish times, split times, rankings and related performance data.
  • Device and technical data: device model, operating system, app version, language, IP address and unique device identifiers.
  • Communications: messages you send us (for example support requests).

3. How and why we use your data (legal bases)

  • To provide the Service – create and manage your account, enable live tracking and show results. Legal basis: performance of a contract.
  • To process and display location data during events. Legal basis: performance of a contract and/or your consent, which you can withdraw at any time by disabling location sharing.
  • To communicate with you about your account, updates and support. Legal basis: contract and our legitimate interest.
  • To improve and secure the Service, including analytics and preventing misuse. Legal basis: our legitimate interest.
  • To send or newsletters, where applicable. Legal basis: your consent.
  • To comply with legal obligations. Legal basis: legal obligation.

4. Sharing your data

We do not sell your personal data. We may share it with:

  • Event organisers for events you take part in, so they can manage participation and results.
  • Other users and the public: during a live event, your name, position and results may be visible to other participants, spectators and on public results pages. Please keep this in mind when sharing your location.
  • Service providers (processors) who act on our behalf, such as hosting, mapping, analytics and communication providers, under appropriate data-processing agreements.
  • Authorities where required by law.

5. International transfers

Your data is primarily processed within the European Economic Area (EEA). Where a provider processes data outside the EEA, we ensure appropriate safeguards are in place, such as the European Commission's Standard Contractual Clauses.

6. How long we keep your data

We keep your personal data only as long as necessary for the purposes described above, or as required by law. Account data is kept while your account is active and deleted or anonymised within a reasonable period after closure. Event and results data may be retained for historical and statistical purposes.
